"Ales for Ashley" is an event to honor and remember Ashley Magness. Ashley was a resident of Arlington for 33 years and taught in the AISD for 18 years. She was diagnosed with a type of brain tumor called a Glioblastoma Multiforme (GBM) in May of 2014 and fought the brave fight for 22 months.
We are excited to be partnering with the UT Southwestern Harold Simmons Cancer Center for this event. All proceeds from this event will be donated to UTSW for research to improve survivability and to find a cure for Glioblastoma Multiforme (GBM) brain tumors, the most common and deadliest form of adult brain tumors.

This bracelet has been one a bestsellers for a couple of years now and there havee been a lot of requests to teach a class on how to make it. You asked for it, you got it!
To create this piece, we will take two-hole Czech glass beads called SuperDuos and weave them into a cuff-like bracelet using two different techniques: two-needle right angle weave (RAW) and peyote stitch. Knowledge of working with a needle and thread is recommended, but not necessary as we will go through the process together AND I will provide you with detailed instructions with photos for each step.
You will receive one kit in class. This kit will contain everything you need to complete one bracelet. Additional kits will be available for sale as well, if there are any left.
This class will be held February 10th from 1pm until 4pm. I strongly recommend that you show up about 15 minutes early to claim your kit - and your chair - as we will start class promptly at 1:00.
When you purchase your ticket, PLEASE make sure you provide your email address during checkout. I communicate with class attendees this way prior to the class.
